Director's Corner
Welcome! You have found an innovative community project that is working to improve how people experience dying, caregiving, death, and bereavement. At Life's End Institute, we focus on community-based research and public engagement to foster social change.
Life's End Institute: Missoula Demonstration Project works locally, statewide and nationwide to improve care of the dying and their families. Through innovative community and statewide initiatives, research, consultation and collaboration, the Institute works to insure that those who are dying are cared for in such a way that their healthcare choices are honored, their pain is managed, their families are supported, and their dignity is maintained.
In spite of progress that has been made nationally in end-of-life care, we continue to hear heart-wrenching stories of unnecessary suffering. The Institute works to relieve that suffering. We are passionately committed, and we hope you will explore our site to learn how you, too, can improve the quality of life's end in your own community.
