Caregiving and Caring Circles
"I just wanted you to know how wonderful my care group was - they met so many needs. It meant the world to me. Also the women in the group loved it - there were enough that no one was burdened, they loved getting to know each other and loved the chance to serve in very concrete ways."
- Family Caregiver
Caring for a family member who cannot care for themselves can be difficult work. Many family caregivers struggle with isolation, frustration and loneliness. Some find there are just not enough hours in the day to care for their loved one, hold a job, and take care of their own needs. Many family caregivers change jobs or shorten their hours in order to meet the needs of caregiving. This often adds economic hardship to their other burdens.
Missoula's Caring Circles helps to improve the lives of family caregivers and those in their care. Through convening and training volunteer teams for families, Caring Circles coordinates support so that families receive the help they need without the burden falling too heavily on any one person.
